We are proud to announce Operation Phantom Support and the Outdoor Association for True Heroes (OATH) as benefactors for the Veteran Alcoholic Beverage Competition 2018! Each of these organizations will be receiving a whopping 11% of proceeds for a total of 22% of ALL proceeds going to help these Veteran and First Responder Service Organizations! This is monumental for us and these organizations, the more folks that know about what we are doing at the San Antonio Event Center this year the better these organizations can do what they do best: helping Veterans, First Responders and their families.
Operation Phantom Support operates a food pantry outside of Ft. Hood Texas, touching the lives of 1,000 Veteran and First Responders EACH WEEK! That’s over 14,000 family members in a month! They help with food, birthday cakes, backpacks for school, Christmas toys, unforeseen car repairs, military transitioning to civilian workforce and youth activities.
The OATH network utilizes various outdoors activities centered around Faith, Family, and Community to improve the quality of life of our eligible Veterans. They do some really amazing things like the Battle Buddy Program, they pair a Gold Star kiddo with a member of his or her fallen parent’s unit from combat and take them on a trip that will not soon be forgotten. The Brother’s Keeper program combats veteran suicide, the Foxhole program gets our aging veterans out and connected to the world again and Leash Up pairs dogs with veterans with PTSD and TBIs to alleviate social anxiety.
